Frogs

Frogs are the parts that keep the train on track while it changes tracks. Frogs come in various materials, including brass, stainless steel, delrin, and nickel silver. You’ll need a different material depending on the size of the switch itself, larger switches require stronger frogs.

Throwbar

The throwbar is the smaller tie that actually travels (or throws) across the rails to switch the tracks. Be sure to pair this with a ground throw.

Our tiestrips are for sale separately in either mainline or narrow gauge sizes.
